HealthMasters "Low to Moderate Intensity for all Ages"
Information is relative to the Longfellow Sports Club, Natick ONLY

HealthMasters is designed to promote physical activity and comradery for those members desiring less intensive programs and classes. HealthMasters schedule has been in progress since 1996. At that time, HealthMasters was primarily designed to meet the needs of our senior members. Although that continues to be true, HealthMasters has been revised to meet the needs of not only our members enrolled in the senior fitness and our couple senior fitness memberships, but also members who are beginners or just want a low impact, low intensity class. HealthMasters classes consist of strength training, aerobic conditioning, stretching, yoga and more. All classes are easy to learn and educational.

HealthMasters is a great way for members to spend time together and combine exercises with a social element. Participants have made progress with their physical conditioning, vitality and psychological well-being.

Exercise performance at any age can vary and that is why HealthMasters is available. Regular physical activity can help your body maintain, repair, and improve itself, at any age. Physical activity has many benefits, such as improving endurance, gaining strength, increasing flexibility, and improving your general health. As we age, it’s even more important to stay active, choosing levels of intensity that are appropriate for you. It is not necessary to always participate in a high intensity exercise program.

You may be recovering from injury, just getting back into the swing of things or may be looking for a less aggressive exercise class. Exercising at a low to moderate intensity may help you decrese low back pain, decrease arthritic pain, improve blood pressure, increae your bone density, help manage Di abetes and reduce the risk of Coronary Artery Disease. People are living longer and it is your responsibility to take better care of your mind and body through regular physical activity.

We offer HealthMasters as a complimentary program to our members. Classes are available Monday- Friday, please see our schedule for class times.
