John
Ciarleglio, III
Wayland, MA,
-- USPTA Certified
I have played
tennis for over 20 years, and actually learned to play at Longfellow
in the early 80’s. I quickly became a tennis addict, playing
at least a couple of times a week, watching tennis matches, junior
and professional, and now teaching tennis for the past three years.
Learning tennis
from the “ground floor”, through taking lessons and
participating in clinics, etc., has given me a wealth of personal
experiences to draw upon in my teaching and also a high degree of
empathy for my students. My philosophy is that anyone can learn
to play and that learning should be fun.
I enjoy playing
both singles and doubles and competed for five years on a Longfellow’s
men’s team in the Central Mass League, reaching the finals
in each year. I have taught and coached in a number of youth sports
including, Wayland Youth Soccer and BAYS for 8 years (Series F Coaching
License), and CYO Basketball for 3 years. My wife, Pat and two sons,
John and Tom play also play tennis, with both sons “graduates”
of the Longfellow program. My older son John currently plays Division
III tennis.
