Sylvia G. Swartz, a tennis professional, has been USPTA since 1989 and PTR since 2004. She is the Executive Director and Head Coach of Handi-Racket Tennis, the longest running instructional tennis program for people with disabilities and the largest group of tennis athletes at Special Olympics Massachusetts. Sylvia has been a teaching pro at Longfellow for 18 years. In 1999 she was named USPTA New England Eastern Pro of the Year. Sylvia is an avid sports fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics. She loves to snorkel and swim in her favorite vacation spot, Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Sylvia grew up in Manchester, N.H.. She and her husband Richie have a grown daughter, Sydney Erica.
