Under the leadership of New England Hall of Famer, Laury Hammel, The Longfellow Clubs have been the largest and most respected group of tennis clubs in New England. When you join The Longfellow Club in Wayland as a tennis member you are automatically a member of the Natick Racquet Club and you have access to 16 indoor courts and a diverse set of play and instructional programs.

In 2005, Phil Parrish was named Director of Tennis, and he has grown Longfellow’s program to new heights and dimensions. Longfellow is home to over 25 adult tennis teams and has a junior tennis program that teaches hundreds of youngsters how to play and enjoy tennis. In 2007, Longfellow opened up the first indoor tennis center designed exclusively to teach young children ages 4 – 9… The Zip Zone. The Zip Zone now has eight outdoor courts as well as four indoor courts, sized perfectly for the tennis development of young children.

If you are interested in joining one of Longfellow’s fun and dynamic tennis programs, we invite you to have a free evaluation by one of Longfellow’s highly skilled and certified tennis professionals. This will make it easier for us to help you find the right program for you or your child.

Match Play Program
At Longfellow, we believe that to become a well rounded player, a junior must take private lessons, participate in clinics, and also experience match play. We offer match play options throughout the winter. Our match play is Saturday nights from 5:00-8:00 and once a month, we offer a mini tournament, in which children play different formats. The mini tournament allows the player to play either Friday or Saturday nights or both. During the mini tournaments we also have 60' tennis using our less pressurized balls. We also offer a Zip Tennis tournament once a month. This is designed for players learning the 36' game. It is a great way to introduce your child to playing tennis. They actually play the game.
